Make a real difference to the lives of some of Ecuador's poorest communities. Experience the Andean Indigenous culture in and around the beautiful market town of Otavalo, two hours from the capital, nestled over 2500m in the heart of the Ecuadorian Andes. Take Spanish lessons and stay with a local family to immerse yourself in the local culture and way of life. Volunteer work is available at indigenous communities in nearby rural mountain areas.
