ELEP provides International Volunteer Abroad Programs in South / Latin America, in the magical country of Ecuador. Living and volunteering in Ecuador, you could help enrich the lives of Ecuadorian needy people by sharing your skills, your worth and your time. As an international volunteer overseas you are welcome to participate in our short and long-term voluntary service projects throughout Ecuador working side-by-side with local people and sharing in the goals of a community that warmly welcomes you. Our programs are the perfect way to live like a true member of a community and to fully integrate into a new culture and language. Our projects are designed specifically to supply the needs of the Ecuadorian communities in which we work, whilst giving our volunteers the very best experience of volunteering abroad. ELEP Volunteer Travel Program offers you unique volunteering opportunities. Our aim is to provide challenging, rewarding, meaningful, suitable and cheap and affordable voluntary work programs to volunteers from all over the world. Our programs are custom-designed for all ages and backgrounds. Our top ongoing volunteer projects are: - Childcare: helping with orphanage houses, street kids centers or day care centers. - Healthcare/Nursing: collaborating in one of our public medical centers, hospitals or medical NGOs. - HIV/AIDS: assisting in one of our HIV/AIDS NGOs, medical center, associations, etc. - Human Rights: providing aid in one of our legal aid institutions, social work centers, women associations, etc. - Teaching: collaborating in one of our elementary schools or kinder garden or secondary school teaching English, art, music, sport or any other subject. - Micro-Enterprise: assisting in one of our small business, working with rural associations/communities. - Micro-loan: collaborating with one of our small cooperative of credit. - Construction Work: helping to build houses, a school or small bridges, restoration and/or maintaining, etc. in one of our rural communities. Animal Care/Wildlife Rehabilitation: collaborating with the local staff of animal care and rescue center or zoo. - Veterinary Medicine: providing assistance in one of our veterinary NGOs or Vet hospitals or zoos or animal care centers. - Conservation: helping in reforestation, tree nursery, organic farming, building trails, environmental education, etc. in one of our ecological reserves or national parks. Who can participate? Everyone (college, undergraduate or recent graduate students, gap year, career break, professionals, retired, etc.) anxious in collaborating and gain a unique cultural learning experience is welcome to volunteer in Ecuador. Project at a Glance - Location: Andes, Coast, Amazon Region and Galapagos - Season: All year-round. Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring. Commitment Length: Short and long term, this is lasting from 2 weeks to 6 months. - Age: 18 years and older. - Start and End Point: Quito Ecuador South America Cost: - Registration: 100 dollars. - Volunteer Project in the Andes and Cost: 420 dollars per 2 weeks. Every extra week 105 dollars - Volunteer Project in the Galapagos: 530 dollars per 2 weeks. Every extra week 165 dollars What is involved: - Accommodation: Home stay - Food: All meals from Monday to Saturday. Qualifications:
Everyone can help and make a real difference. You do not need any formal qualification to participate in our volunteer projects, only a willingness to share your time and work with Ecuadorian communities and underprivileged people. Nevertheless, we would like to recommend traveling with an open mindedness, flexibility, a basic knowledge of Spanish, dynamism, enthusiastic and committed and passionate about making a difference.
