Description: Costa Rican English for Sustainable Tourism (CREST) is the international program of Costa Rica Multilingue - a government sponsored initiative that seeks to improve the country's economic competitiveness by increasing the number of English-speaking professionals by 2017.

Our program is ideal for those looking to dedicate their time for a good cause and acquire valuable professional training. It is perfect if you want to take a gap year, to learn Spanish and immerse yourself in a natural paradise, or if you want to spend your summer helping and teaching others. You will truly feel satisfied in knowing that you have contributed to the educational growth of many.

Volunteers will live with host families in rural communities for a period of 6 months or more, and will be responsible for 20 hours of class time and 20 hours of preparation. Our program is unique in that we serve the tourism sector where there is an immediate need for English acquisition. Our volunteers serve as teaching assistants in technical high-schools or as community teachers instructing professionals from the sustainable tourism sector.

Qualifications:
* University degree
* TEFL (or the equivalent) certified or years of Teaching experience
* Independence

Cost in US$: 6 month program: USD 1,250 plus a USD 1,000 refundable deposit
