Description: Brigades Def'n. Groups of passionate volunteers who mobilize toward positive social change.

We are currently looking for student leaders to start Global Brigades chapters from one or more of our 8 programs at their University.

Global Brigades designs and implements a variety of international service programs that utilize the skills of volunteers while empowering the communities they serve. We currently operate in Honduras and Panama where our staff maintain field offices and perpetuate relationships with communities and local partners between brigades.

Our programs in Panama focus on sustainable development and consist of microenterprise support, human rights advocacy, sustainable architecture and environmental preservation. In Honduras weve developed a comprehensive health model that consists of clean water projects, public health education, sanitation infrastructure, mobile medical clinics, and dental relief.

This multi-disciplinary approach offers under resourced communities a holistic model for strategic development. We also support other organizations doing service work in Vietnam, India and Ghana through our Empower Partners initiative.

It may sound grand, it may sound lofty. But just ask a fellow Brigader. What you and your fellow classmates have in front of you is an opportunity to make history. The peoples lives you will change are real. The most important step now is the first step to get involved and to make a difference.

Thank you for your interest and leadership in Global Brigades. As a student-led movement, this experience and these clubs are exactly what you make them. Ask for more. Share new ideas.
