Guatemala one of the poorest nations in the western hemisphere is a small, spectacularly beautiful country, located in Central America. It is one of the most ecologically diverse countries in the world encompassing 33 volcanoes, tropical forests and majestic mountains. It is commonly referred to as the land of eternal spring with average temperatures hovering around 59 to 77 F degrees. The official language is Spanish, however, there are more than 20 Amerindian languages spoken. There are approximately 13-14 million inhabitants, about half of who are of indigenous descent. Guatemalans are a very proud people and are considered by some to be the most dedicated protectors of the indigenous population. The rich natural, cultural and spiritual fabric of Guatemala makes it an exciting and compelling destination. In addition, the creativity, strength, and dedication of the local people you work with will truly enhance your understanding of Guatemala and inspire you to achieve your personal best. As globalization moves ahead, it is our vision to take cross-cultural understanding and awareness to the next level.
