Description: Volunteer and travel through two stunning South American countries, from the deserts of Peru to the Andes of Ecuador. Teach in the indigenous communities, immerse yourself in the local culture, build an energy efficient stove, learn some Spanish, trek the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, explore the Nazca Lines and experience many of South America's most fascinating sites!

This adventurous South American volunteering trip allows you to have a multitude of exciting experiences whilst immersing yourself in the awe-inspiring cultures and people of South America. You will gain first-hand experience of the Peruvian and Ecuadorian cultures, as you reside and volunteer in the local communities. You will also take Spanish lessons to improve your communication with the locals. The time volunteering in South America will directly contribute towards the development of many of the region's underprivileged communities, as you will be teaching in local schools.

Time will be divided between two of South America's most spectacular and captivating countries: Peru and Ecuador. In both countries, you will help to educate children that have modest or no access to education, in communities that have requested our assistance. A multitude of activities and tasks await you, but your main concentration will be to improve the education of the local children, especially their literacy and numeracy levels. By concentrating your volunteering efforts in these two spectacular countries, you will be able to gain a real understanding and admiration of this awe-inspiring region, whilst supporting some of the countries' underprivileged communities.

Spanish classes are integrated into your time volunteering in South America, so that you can develop your language skills and ensure you experience all that volunteering in South America has to offer. In order to immerse yourselves completely in the host culture and have ample opportunities to develop your Spanish, you will stay with the welcoming and friendly local families, who will provide you with tasty local cuisine as well as supporting you throughout your time volunteering. You will feast on local food, absorb yourself in the local culture and interact with the locals daily. You'll also get plenty of opportunities to visit the close by attractions, including the adventure excursions like flying above the Nazca Lines, exploring Paracas National Reserve and you will even yomp your way along the world famous Inca Trail to Machu Picchu!

As a volunteering experience, this South American teaching adventure will provide you with an extraordinarily meaningful and worthwhile experience as part of a gap year, adventure travel experience or career break. It provides you with the fantastic opportunity to explore South America, whilst learning the gorgeous Spanish language and having a direct positive impact on the indigenous communities.
