Description:
EXIS organizes volunteer work in Cambodia in cooperation with local NGOs and CBOs. Volunteering is a unique way to discover the country, its culture and people while doing a meaningful job. * Taking care of children in schools, villages or orphanages. * Teaching English * Community development * Projects combating Domestic Violence * Law/ Human rights * Health Projects
Highlights:
You should take some time to visit the main attractions in the country, especially the majestic temples of Angkor Wat in Siem Reap province, and the beautiful coconut beaches of Sihanoukville. For any trip, a minimum of 3 or 4 days should be planned. It is sometimes possible to take the Friday off! Some of our volunteers add some holidays at the end of their volunteering. This is a very good idea, worth considering.
Qualifications:
You must be at least 18 or 19 years old, independent and outgoing, and have a genuine desire to volunteer. There are no specific qualifications needed, but if you want to work in an orphanage, you must read the 'UN Convention on Child Rights' and sign the orphanage 'Code of Conduct' after arrival.
Cost in US$: Depends on the length of stay.
Cost Include Description:
* Airport pick-up and transport to your volunteer project * Food and accommodation during your entire stay. * Pre-departure handbook * Other services: 24/7 support of local coordinator
Experience Required: yes
As a law student you can support a community and help them apply for their land rights. If you have skills in development work you can support any NGO by writing reports and proposals for fundraising. A background in economics can help an NGO organize income generating activities for the poor and also develop a savings program for the community. A background in country planning is useful to help establish land and fishery communities in Pursat province. No special requirements for teaching or working at an orphanage.

EXIS philosophy is still the same to make it possible for you to satisfy your curiosity and thirst for adventure. We work with partners all over the world to build the most secure starting gate for unique experiences and you take it from there! Forget all about the world getting smaller.
