Description:
Volunteer will work alongside our development officer. Assisting in the development of social opportunities for people with disabilities. This position will involve office based work, phone calls, correspondence, work on a computer, meetings and record keeping. The position will also involve very regular contact with persons with disability, home visits and assessments alongside development officer and attending social outings with members with disability. Sometimes you will be required once given direction to work unsupervised. You will work mostly in the greater Dublin area, with occasional visits outside this area.
Qualifications:
- some office skills, such as a computer course, or experience of working in an office environment. - Any study in the area of disability, or recreation would be an advantage but not essential. - An organised mind.
Cost Include Description:
Volunteers must cover own costs in terms of air fare and medical insurance
Salary / Pay: Accommodation (Living alone or shared accommodation), Meal allowance, Weekly pocket money approx 60 euros per week.
