Description:
The Art Farm offers a volunteering program like no other. We like our volunteers to have fun and get the most out of their stay. Spend the mornings experiencing the world of natural building and wild food foraging, adventure activities in the afternoon and celebrations in the evening. Natural Building Work alongside our team of natural builders to create sculptural forms and restore the beautiful 250 year old traditional French farm houses. You will have the opportunity to work with cob, lime, straw, local timbers, and recycled materials with demonstrations and lots of hands on time. Wild Food The Art Farm is surrounded by wild berries and each year we produce amazing organic delites. You will have the opportunity to collect the fruit from the surrounding feilds and forests and learn how to make and taste delicious jams, juices, syrups and wines. Art & Music The Art Farm is a haven for artists and musicians to escape the outside world and go inside and unleash their creative potential. You will have the opportunity to get involved with any projects we have going on, building sculptures, open music jams, photo shoots, film making and attend live shows by visiting musicians at the on site bar. Ardeche Adventure During The Art Farm volunteering program you will have the opportunity to experience exciting Ardeche adventures each day with trips to stunning locations undiscovered by the average tourists. Canoeing, horse riding, hiking and cycling through the famous gorges and amazing landscapes, fun on the high ropes, exploring medieval villages, lively local markets and quaint towns and indulge in the delicious cuisines at exquisite French restaurants. Explore France The natural building and wild food weeks will be jam packed with activities but there will also be lots of free time to relax amongst the beautiful French landscapes of the Ardeche. An area that is well known for its excellent hiking, cycling and canoing trails, picturesque villages, historic caves, rolling vineyards, quaint local markets full of traditional French delicacies and its fast-flowing river that has carved narrow gorges into the valley creating one of the most breathtaking canyons in France. The area surrounding The Art Farm is particularly spectacular for photography with the magnificent sunrises/sets and 360 degree mountainous views.
