Description: Volunteers will be working hands-on with homeless children living on the water edges of the Waianae Coast on the island of Oahu. Some of these activites will be serving and preparing meals, planning and implementing activities as well as handing out life necessitites to the families living in poverty.

Other activities will include fundraising and collecting supplies of supportive needs. Also, we will participate in eco-tours and learn how to keep our sea life safe and oceans clean.

Volunteers will also be able to experience the Hawaiian Culture through interactive tours and lessons. Living Local is more than a saying but a true way of life like no other.

Experience the hidden beaches, traditional meals, and local style living first hands with others from all over the world.

* Volunteers will earn a certificate of 40 hours for their hands on activities.

Qualifications: Volunteers will need to be open minded and looking forward to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Volunteers can expect to learn a new culture, build lasting relationships with others from all over. The only real qualification a volunteer needs to attend is to have an open heart and a will to change their world for the better while interacting with others who share the same goals.

This tour is for the active and hard working. Our days are full of activities and volunteerism. Because it is a short period we pack our days as full as possible...you can rest when you get home. Leaving your foot prints in the Hawaiian sands worth following.

Typical Volunteer: Our volunteers come with an open mind ready to meet new people and work as a team for the same goal. Our volunteers are open to new ideas and experiences, love to see new things, and help others at the same time. Volunteers will be put into smaller groups with a group leader after activities or tours, but for the most part will be in the larger group of upto 24.
