Description:
CAST aims to support the single mothers and their babies living in Emanuela Chiritescu's transition home by looking after and playing with the babies while the mothers go out to work so they can provide financially for themselves and their babies. Many of the mothers find it difficult to form relationships with their babies so CAST volunteers also try to help this process.
Qualifications:
No formal qualifications are required but those with qualifications in the health or educational field are welcome to apply as specialist volunteers.
Cost in US$: Cost of flight plus approx GBP 200 to cover living costs
Cost Include Description:
The cost includes accomodation, training before your trip and transport whilst in Romania. Volunteers are also asked to cover the cost of their flights and raise a donation of GBP 250.
Experience Required: yes
We reccomend that volunteers gain experience with babies or young children before taking part in this project.
