Description: Description of the association:

The association is a non-profit organization that helps people who lack various important tools such as loan, constant follow-up and training by developing the capacities and improving the quality of life in unprivileged areas.

The association strengthens the development capacities of poor areas, which have an ongoing economic activity or a new one, by giving them access to loans. The activity of the organization is not only limited to loan granting but it also deals with capacity development through actions in the following sectors: micro business management support, micro business activities monitoring and group courses and meetings.

Since its creation in 2001, the association managed to support financially more than 1200 families. Therefore, by granting around 7500 credits, it has indirectly helped more than 4000.

* Internship Description

There are various cooperation possibilities, which depend on the intern's interest and profile.

- Service in main office and in different presence points in the action sector.
- Borrowers' data analysis and load in the new software. Investigations on former borrowers' desertion.
- Improve and update the web page.
- Draw up a civil association and social organization list to create a real help network and to strengthen institutional links.
- Spread the cost workshop to new areas of the action sector.
- Coordinate meetings in order to appoint associative groups and / or to create links between borrowers.

Highlights: Matters to investigate from meetings, bibliography and interests:

- Why are borrowers leaving? What do we have to change in our service? What kind of products do other micro-loan institutions offer?
- Impact of the micro-loan on the quality of life of our borrowers.
- Planning, organization and application of new workshops, courses and other training that follow and stimulate micro businesses and the loan service.

Qualifications: Required Profile:

- At least a 3-month commitment
- Good Spanish oral comprehension
- Being more than 21 years old
- Interest in the micro-loan sector
