Duration of Program: 1-2 years

Description: Choose the volunteer work's program in which you are most interested:

1.- You can make a small monetary contribution, an amount equivalent to the cost of the meals. Additionally, this program includes at least six hours of volunteer work, and specific classes of the different areas that you like.

2.- There is another option for those volunteers who do not provide monetary contribution; in this case they must be available to make different types of work, which benefits the community and their own learning. There is no a specific program of classes.

There are diverse areas in which you can develop yourself, these are some of them:

"Organic kitchen garden and orchard: You will be able to learn different agriculture technologies and skills, like organic farming, composting, elaboration of humus and dry bathrooms.

"Vegetarian Cuisine: Learn how to cook diverse vegetarian courses, along with vegetarian experts.

"Bakery: The production of whole meal breads and pastry cakes is another area in which you can take part and learn.

"Art: You will be able to take part in workshops of woodcarving, paintings in canvas, confection of signs, drawings, murals, etc. all of which will be exhibited in our country estate.

"Construction: You will learn how to construct different architectural works using ecological materials.

"Vedic Pedagogy: You will take part in educational activities which wake up the ecological and spiritual children's conscience, by the developing of different workshops for them at least once per week.

"Classes of yoga and philosophy: It starts from different yoga's workshops, with the idea of improving your emotional balance, concentration, spirituality and corporal strengthening.

Highlights: Remarks:

"In two minutes walking you can enjoy the delight of the river that crosses the Lluta's Valley (river Lluta).

"The most nearby village is only at 10 minutes by car and there you can find shops and connection to Internet by means of a MODEM. The most nearby city (Arica) is at 40 minutes by car .

"The electricity in Chile is 220 volts, alternates to 50 cycles per second. If you travel to Chile with a device that does not accept 220 Volts to 50 Hertz, you will need a voltage convertor.

Qualifications: Important points to be considered:

The requirements for the volunteers interested in taking part of the Eco-Truly project are the following:

"The food is lacto-vegetarian, and it consists of three meals per day, based on healthy lacteal-vegetarian products.

"We ask for the abstention from intoxicants and extramarital relationships in order to preserve the holiness and sanctity of the place.

"The cost of the volunteer work is 6 dollars or 3.000 Chilean pesos daily, and this donation is by way of food (three meals per day) and stay in the country estate. In addition, you will have free time to realize extras activities, since your volunteer work will have at least 6 hours of work per day.

"The minimum length of stay is ten days. Per month the donation is 150 dollars.

"Rooms are shared with other volunteers; men rooms are separated from women rooms.

"There are ecological bathrooms.

"The community has electrical light and also laundry room service.

What you need to bring:

"A sleeping bag and / or blankets, and also a camping mat if it is possible.

"Comfortable clothes and also warm clothes in order to keep you sheltered and wrap up well at night.

"Personal hygiene articles to wash yourself and toilet paper, too.

What you cannot bring:

"Any kind of drugs or hallucinogens, cigars or alcohol etc.

"Any kind of food that contains red meat, white meat, seafood or eggs.
