Description: The project in Peru provides animal and environmental conservation with the efforts of volunteers and local community members. You will assist in activities that focus on sustainability. It is vital to have volunteers so the program can continue developing. You will work with staff members by getting your hands dirty on assignments that conserve and maintain the natural beauty of Peru. Volunteers will help taking care and securing protected areas of Reforestation. You will take part in the activities in the communities surrounding Cusco, construction and installation of green houses, chimneys, alternative energy systems, get involved in communal workshops teaching or supporting and producing educational material and support the publicity.

Highlights: You will be volunteering in Cusco, which is the Inca City located in the Southern Sierras and positioned in southeastern Peru only 80 km from Machu Picchu. Cusco is known as the Archaeological Capital of Americas and is the most visited city in Peru. uVolunteer anticipates and encourages your desire for travel and adventure. Your time away from volunteering is open for you to decide your activities. You may decide to take advantage of the local culture and spend time within the community over the weekend. Otherwise, there is ample opportunity to explore Peru and all it has to offer.

Qualifications: Language Requirement is Intermediate Spanish. However, you can still join this project if your Spanish does not meet the requirements, by taking our Spanish language course.
