Description:
The project is currently housing a large collection of monkeys (approximately 300), as well as many different species of snakes, birds, turtles and even an old tiger rescued from La Paz Zoo. This project is ideal for those who have an affinity with animals and want to learn how to care for a wide variety of species.
Highlights:
On arrival in Cochabamba city, one of our representatives will pick you up and take you to Villa Tunari. Once you have settled in and unpacked, you will be introduced to the team in charge of the project where you will be given an induction and tour of the local area. Although basic Spanish is not obligatory, it is recommended. The day starts very early, about 7:30am until approximately 18:00 with an hour and a half break for lunch and coffee. Volunteers will help staff with the day to day running of the sanctuary, duties will include feeding the animals, monitoring the progress of sick animals, cleaning their sleeping quarters, caring for the compound and possibly some administrative duties.
Qualifications:
* You must be at least 18 years old * Love animals * Get all relevant immunizations including Yellow fever vaccination * Be willing to work as part of a team * Basic Spanish is desirable * International volunteers are welcome

Cost Include Description:
During the two-week placement, you will be living in a Hostel in Villa Tunari in the city centre on a self-catering basis. A continental breakfast will be provided and there are many restaurants and bars close to the Villa for you to explore.
