Volunteer Ghana: Animal Conservation

Highlights: The project sites are located in national parks throughout Ghana, from the north down to the south, focused in some selected regions of Ghana: Eastern, Accra, Ashanti and Northern Regions. All locations have rich culture ranging from food, architecture, clothes, language, art and culture, dance, and music. uVolunteer believes that you should have a well balanced work and play schedule. This means you will only be required to work 5 days per week (Monday to Friday) for a maximum of 6 hours per day. For the remainder of your time, you will be free to enjoy the vacationing aspects of your trip. uVolunteer anticipates and encourages your desire for travel and adventure. Your time away from volunteering is open for you to decide your activities. You may decide to take advantage of the local culture and spend time within the community over the weekend. Otherwise, there is ample opportunity to explore Ghana and all it has to offer. Our local representative, will advice you on which areas are safe for travel.

Great weekend trips include:
* Site seeing and community tours
* Travel to Cape Coast and Elimina Castle
* Visit a monkey sanctuary
* Hiking and canopy tours
* Beach trips
* Celebrate the festivals and local activities
* Visit national parks and go on safaris
