Description:
The project is a nursery school which works to provide a fun learning environment for children. Volunteers assist in the nursery school; teaching English, games and activities. The staff and the volunteers play a vital role in the child's development by providing love and attention giving the children self-respect and confidence allowing them to find their rightful place in society. For a varied and fulfilling experience, volunteers are encouraged to assist in every area of the home
Highlights:
The staff and teachers will provide support during the first few days of your volunteering experience till you get comfortable with the children and are able to take charge on your own. You time will be spent caring for the children and using fun, art, games, music, colours to encourage the children's creativity and help their learning. In the evenings, volunteers often visit the small town of Meircurea Ciuc for its cafes and bars and at the weekend volunteers have the opportunuty to explore the local area. Many visit the larger town of Brasov, which is the 7th largest city in Romania. Besides picturesque beauty, Brasov is renowned for the Black church and Strada Sforii, the narrowest street in Europe.
Qualifications:
- You must be over 18 years old. - Previous teaching experience will help, though not a must. - An openess and respect for new and different cultures. - International volunteers welcome

Cost Include Description:
Volunteers stay at a central shared converted barn and take a short daily commute to one of the thirty homes. Traditional Romanian food is prepared by a cook but volunteers also have access to a kitchen if they wish to prepare their own food.
