Conservation on Lake Titicaca

Highlights: On arrival in La Paz city, one of the representatives will pick you up and will bring you to the hotel for one night in La Paz, and then we will bring you to your project.

If you are already in La Paz, we will bring you to the project in Sawina - Copacabana. Once you have settled in and unpacked, we will introduce you to the Community in the project and they will give you a nice Welcome and they will introduce themselves and will show you the surroundings. Although basic Spanish is not obligatory, any practice before going would be helpful.

You will join the Community in their daily routine. Your average working day will be from 7:30am until 4pm with an hour and a half for lunch. Volunteers will help the community with the day-to-day tasks on the Islands, notably showing the tourists around some of the Islands, and they will also really appreciate your help building the Community Lodge.

Depending on what individual projects are going on at the time of your arrival, you will be informed about the type of help that will be required from you a few weeks before you arrive. There are always different tasks needing to be done.
