Description: Our Charity #25700 was created in 2005 by 25 persons that love animals. Today our active membership is approximately a dozen persons with a majority of the shelter work being done by a handful of volunteers. We are legally registered and can provide tax receipts for all donations.

We operate a temporary shelter located in the Old Zoo in the central park of Nea Filadelphia (Dekeleias & Troados Street). (Directions to closest Metro Station Perissos or by Bus Routes.)

Daily we are caring for over 50+ dogs in our Shelter and dozens scattered throughout the neighbourhood. Cats and kittens are fostered by our members as we have no shelter space for them.

Friends of Animals provides the following services:
*Vaccinations to keep our four legged friends healthy and free of future disease.
*Sterilizations to keep the population of unwanted animals as low as is possible.
*Medical attention to animals that are in need.
*Adoptions of animals into suitable loving households.
*Feed animals that are living in neighbourhoods and provide food to those who are unable provide for their own pets.
*Education in the schools - the truth about dogs and 'disease', what makes a good volunteer and safety.
*Working on-site walking, exercising and rehabilitating, socializing the dogs.
*Participating in special events and fundraisers.
*Spreading the word of the Animal Shelter via email, flyering, and any avenues open to you.
