Description:
Working as a volunteer is not easy - especially in a country you don't know and of which you don't speak the language. The Hutong School Volunteer Program is the ideal opportunity for you to get a kick-start for your future work as a volunteer in China. At Hutong School we will: - Teach you the basics of the Chinese language, - Introduce you to the specifics of NGO work in China - Teach you NGO-jargon such as how to help people, work with administration language. We will organize NGO discussion rounds in order for you to decide which one you will work for later on. These NGOs work in different fields: migrant children, animal rights, AIDS prevention, etc.

This is a 3 month-program which will prepare you optimally for working at an NGO in China and will also contribute to you having the time of your life in Beijing!
Qualifications:
The Volunteer Program is open to any applicant, regardless of nationality, gender or race. Minimum required age is 18 years old.The Hutong School Volunteers Program is especially suitable for: - Graduates who want to get work experience in an NGO - Students who want to use their gap year working as a volunteer Anyone who wants to contribute to the welfare of nature and reduce the disparities between poor and rich.

Cost Include Description:
- Accommodation - 30 hours/week of Chinese classes, NGO focus - Cultural activities - Practical assistance - Airport pick-up - Additional services such as support with Chinese visa application, registration in Beijing, travel inquiries, ticket booking, etc - Introduction rounds at partner NGOs - Weekend NGO activity - Donation to NGO for which the volunteer will work after completion of the program
