Description: Our volunteer work projects in Peru are based on voluntary commitment and dedication at different social institutions. We offer volunteer projects in the Peruvian capital Lima, Arequipa and Cusco. Our programs will give you a great opportunity to experience the country and its culture as well as to apply and to improve your Spanish language knowledge. Furthermore, you will also show solidarity with the institutions and the people who rely on the help of others and appreciate your support. You will make an important contribution to the international understanding. We mainly work with institutions that take care of the well-being of people in need, for example orphanages, organizations that support indigenes/Indians, institutions for handicapped children/adults, play schools, schools, hospitals, nursing homes. Environmental projects are also available. Your working hours depend on the volunteer institution. All volunteer work projects are full-time positions. The decision, whether to offer a remuneration or not, is up to the volunteer institution. Due to economic and social reasons in Peru, it is often not possible though to remunerate your work. The institutions mainly depend on donations themselves to be able to exist and to operate.
In combination with the volunteer work projects in Peru we offer preparing language classes. A minimum four-week Spanish course is required for the participation in our volunteer program. In Arequipa there is only a two-week language course and a one-week orientation seminar required to participate in the program. But for participants with very good Spanish language skills do not necessarily have to take language classes before starting the volunteer program. Please contact us for further details.

Qualifications: - Good Spanish language skills, spoken and written
- Minimum volunteer duration of three weeks (Arequipa) and four weeks (Lima, Cusco)

Normally the language school and the volunteer institution are in walking distance or easily reachable by bus. Shopping facilities, restaurants, nightclubs, dancing schools, cyber-cafés and fitness centers are also located close-by.
