Volunteer in Mexico City

  Mexico
  • Mexico City:
  • Mexico City (Ciudad de Mexico)

Duration of Program: 2-4 weeks
Typical Duration of Program: 2-4 weeks
Dates: Throughout the year (minimum of 4 weeks)

Description: A country of 20 million people, loads of tourist attractions and incredible sites Mexico has much to offer the traveler and well as receive from a lending hand. Our volunteer work projects offered in Mexico are based on social commitment while offering an excellent opportunity to learn about the daily life of Mexico.

We hope our volunteers show solidarity with people who rely on the help of others and appreciate your support, which is a small but very important contribution to the international understanding. We mainly cooperate with institutions in Mexico City that prioritize the well-being of people in need.

We also offer environmental projects and projects dealing with reconstruction after natural disasters as well as educational projects for low-income communities.

The working hours during your volunteer program depend on the institution. All volunteer work projects are full-time positions. The institutions mainly depend on donations themselves and are not typically able normally to remunerate your work through financial means.

In combination with the volunteer work projects in Mexico we offer preparatory language courses in Mexico City. At least a four-week Spanish course is required for the participation in our volunteer program. Participants with intermediate Spanish skills are not required to take classes. Check out our website for more information!
