Volunteer teaching opportunities are available in Primary and Secondary schools all over Ghana. However, we can arrange for you to teach in a pre-school - if that is your preference. Participating schools can be found in several towns and villages in the following regions in Ghana: Greater Accra, Central, Eastern, Volta, and Ashanti. Project Details The Prince of peace academy is situated in Madina a district north east of Accra. This privately owned school operates a nursery, primary, and JSS. The school has 155 pupils arranged in classes varying in size from 15-30 pupils.

MICATZ currently has volunteer teaching opportunities in local schools throughout Ghana - teaching a variety of subjects through our partner organization. Volunteers have the opportunity to make a lasting difference in Ghanaian communities through education - while experiencing the wonders of African culture and life.

Cost Include Description:
A USD 200 application fee (non-refundable, if you decide not to go) will secure your place on the program. Your program fee is due in full eight weeks before you begin your placement. You only pay your application fee once, and then you can access any of Micatz's volunteer programs over the next 4 years.

Maasai International Challenge Africa (MICA)'s Mission Statement: MICATZ promotes local organizations by making donations and sending volunteers to different destination around Africa, Asia and Latin America states. Our volunteers are active community workers. They support the programs and activities of partner organizations by undertaking a variety of jobs and responsibilities such as working in orphanages, teaching English in Primary schools and in Secondary Schools, Teaching life skills, working as community health workers or assisting administratively.
