Volunteer Eco Students Abroad: New Fiji and Amazon Programs for 2009!

Dates: May-August 2010

Description: All our programs run for 16 days in duration.

The first week is hands on volunteer work either living with a host family or in a nearby village. Our programs at the moment are primarily humanitarian based, ie: teaching English, building village schools...

The second week of the program is a tour of your host country.

In Ecuador we take a 5 day hike through the Amazon, camping in remote settings. All participants will have the opportunity to visit with indigenous tribes, go trekking, tubing and white water rafting amongst other activities.

In Fiji our adventure program is a 6 day/ 5 night island hopping excursion where you will visit 3 different tropical islands, relax, scuba dive, snorkel, horse back ride, etc..

Highlights: White water rafting, scuba diving, horseback riding, fishing, sailing, kayaking, hiking, making new friends, assistance with onward travel.

Degree Level: Bachelors Degree (Undergraduate)

Qualifications: All Participants for our College program must be over 18 by date of departure.

All Participants for our High School program must be between 15-18 by date of departure with parental consent.

  • Typical Volunteer: To volunteer with VESA, no previous experience is necessary. All we require from our volunteers is a certain level of fitness, be open minded and come with a desire to learn and experience as much as possible from their time abroad.
