You don't need to be a Surf Dude to apply, just have bags of enthusiasm and energy and want to bring a smile and new experience to some of the worlds poorest children. Full training will be given.
Highlights:
Upon arrival in Cape Town, you will be met at the airport by one of our team members and taken to the project. During the first week you will receive your induction. During your stay you will be assisting in: Teaching the less fortunate and underprivileged how to surf Monday to Friday. Volunteers are needed for surf instruction and various activities including caring for surfing equipment and taking bookings at the lodge/hostel. There will also be chances to get involved in various other community outreach projects that the Lodge operates. You will also have the opportunity to get involved at the dynamic hostel and gain experience in the tourist Industry, whilst having the chance to meet other travellers from all over the World and work with other volunteers as a team. The day starts with a free breakfast between 8:00-9:30 and then follows with teaching children on the beach how to surf and play safe in the ocean. In your spare time you can relax on the beach, visit the waterslides on the beach front, play mini golf, hike up the mountain to see the caves/waterfalls, visit the penguins, go on a wine tour, experience cape towns wildlife, go for a paddle ski on the river, cycle around the village or simply relax at the lodge.
