Established in Germany, GEF e.V. has implemented numerous projects to help the living conditions of Vietnamese . "The second home" is our important program-in-progress which adopts orphans, poor disabled children into centers of project and brings them up. These children used to live under harsh conditions without caring of blood relatives or even facing the surrounding cruel discrimination. After being part of this project, they ultimately found out a place called home where they are loved. We hope that along with community concerns their mental pain could be lessened replacing it with bright smiles. You might wonder what can you do as a member of "the second home"? There are a lot of activities that you as a volunteer can take part in: -Giving Project's children a lift to school -Teach English, help in homework, play with them in some outdoor games... -Take caring them in normal works like washing clothes... -Enjoy weekend trips around Hanoi capital and to rural Bat Trang village -Distribute foods to kidney disease patients. In addition to volunteering you also get to travel to Vietnam - the most peaceful country in the world and is famous for the hospitality of its locals. So, what are you waiting for? Highlights:
A weekend trip to Bat Trang Pottery Village a well-known traveling point will complete your journey in Vietnam. Aside from gazing at sophisticated items made by skillful local craftsmen, you will also experienced an unforgettable ride in a buffalo cart a mode of transportation in Vietnam. * Practical experience in the area in which you are interested * Hands-on practice to improve and practice your inter cultural and communication skills (foreign language if applicable) * A reference from your volunteer organization at the end of your term * A broader perspective on world views * Chance to learn other foreign cultural activities (ie:art, cooking, crafts, dancing, etc) * Memorable experiences while traveling and seeing exotic sites * Basic language training * Advantages to your career path exemplifying your experiences, diligence, independence, and inter cultural communications * Support and development of self-confidence and personal skills * To be brought so many unique souvenirs in Bat Trang ceramic village that to be hand-made or designed by yourself. * Having plenty of time to relax, reflect or explore.
Qualifications:
Volunteers must be over 18 years of age at the beginning of the program. No special skill is required, but as with most voluntary work, you need to be both highly motivated.

Cost Include Description:
* Food: Three local meals, with fresh and healthy groceries from the local market. * Accommodations: you can stay in our Centre, at a home stay family, or in a house shared with other volunteers and depending on the availability it will be in a single or shared room. In any case it will be clean, bright and comfortable, we also provide linens. * Local phone calls and utilities. * Laundry Unconditional support from staff and coordinators who will help you in any situation and who will be there for you through out all the process. * An emergency line, 24 hours 7 days a week, for you and your family abroad to call. * We will provide all the information you'll need about the country; how you can travel to different areas in Vietnam, sight seeing and tourist information. Besides all above, your fee includes your contribution in supporting for disadvantaged children in our project.
