Description:
The Wolves and Humans Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to working with people and communities to find practical solutions to the problems of co-existence with wolves, bears and lynx, and develop a more positive and sustainable relationships with the natural environment. Some of the projects supported by the foundation rely on volunteers for part of their work. These projects are of particular interest to people studying conservation, ecology, wildlife management or other relevant disciplines, and who are able to work outdoors in basic conditions.
Highlights:
Training in field skills is provided, and volunteering provides a great opportunity to work with experienced professional biologists and gain an insight into the culture and customs of a foreign country. The Wolves and Humans Foundation can put prospective volunteers in touch with relevant project leaders. (NB. We do not make arrangements or offer structured volunteer opportunities)
Qualifications:
- A qualification or study in wildlife/environment related discipline preferable. - English language and Slovak/Polish an advantage.
Cost in US$: Upto USD325
Cost Include Description:
Negotiable cost at time of arranging stay. Plus travel to Slovakia/Poland and insurance costs.

Typical Volunteer: Volunteers should be fit and active for outdoor hiking through rough terrain.
