Durations of Program: 1-2 weeks and 2-4 weeks
Typical Duration of Program: 1-2 weeks

Description: Vitalise is a UK charity providing short respite breaks and holidays for disabled people and carers at five residential Centres across the UK. As a volunteer your role is to support disabled guests and help them get the most out of their break with Vitalise.

You can volunteer for between one week and four weeks. You and other volunteers will stay at one of our centres and provide disabled guests with assistance in tasks like dressing and meal times. You'll also provide companionship and practical help on outings and activities, so there is always plenty of socialising.

For those visiting the UK our volunteer programme is a great way to meet new people and spend your time doing something incredibly rewarding and worthwile. We provide your accommodation and all food at no cost to you. We may also be able to help with travel costs within the UK but remember we are a small charity and we are not able to help with international travel costs.

Anyone and everyone can volunteer. You don't need to have previous experience as we will provide you with the appropriate induction, training and support to carry out your role.

So if you'd like to do something useful and rewarding, develop your personal skills, meet loads of new people and do something totally different and challenging consider applying for a place on our programme.

Our Centres are located in Chigwell (London/Essex borders), Southampton, Nottingham, Southport and Lanlivery in Cornwall.
