Duration of Program: 5-8 weeks

Description: On this 2-month program you will have the opportunity to discover the cities of Lima and Cuzco, spending one month in each place. with the Volunteering in Lima and Cuzco program you will begin by discovering the city of Lima, getting involved in an established social project and discovering Peruvian culture in all its forms. The city of Lima enables you to participate in many activities of the modern world. A good start is the study of Spanish, so that you will begin to familiarize yourself with local culture. You will receive 40 hours of intensive Spanish classes which will provide you with a good knowledge of the language. After these 15 days, you will go by plane to Cuzco, where during the first 2 days you will receive a brief presentation of the city, visiting the main sites, and participating in voluntary service, working and playing alongside poor children in their school.

Highlights:
Language
Spanish language is the language spoken on Peru, so you are going to need some survival Spanish. It is good idea to have some knowledge of the language. On some site Leader may use a different language (usually English or French) to facilitate foreign participants' understanding, but if you don't speak Spanish we're going to prepare in Spanish in order to you can developed by yourself.

Security
All the social project are located in safe areas in addiction to that you are going to be in contact with someone of the association in order to help you.

Leisure activities
Peru is home to several tourist and cultural attractions in both the city of Lima and Cuzco; you can enjoy a good nightlife as you will find bars and discotheques open all night on the weekends; and during the day Peru Experience will organize optionally activities, excursion and trips to different places of your choice.

Supervision
All volunteers are supervised by team leaders trained by Peru experience. One team leader is usually in charge of the volunteers. Each volunteer ier sets is own pace and timetable and its internal rules must be respected. To safeguard the group, the team leader acting as the person in charge is the only one allowed to decide if a person is or is not accepted.

Qualifications: Some of your main responsibilities will be: To assist a student develop a better understanding of in-class and homework assignments.
