Volunteer Overseas as an Atlas Corps Fellow! Atlas Corps is seeking the best mid-career nonprofit leaders in the U.S. to apply for a one-year overseas volunteer fellowship in Bogota, Colombia. Candidates will be placed at host organizations in Bogota including Give to Colombia and Oxfam GB. Begins in early September with a week long orientation and training session, will provide a full-time on-the-job training experience as well as knowledge and skill-building opportunities aimed at creating future nonprofit leaders.
Highlights:
* In Colombia: We need help building the network, recruiting partners, Fellows and funders. If you speak Spanish, we need help with translators of documents. If you are in Colombia, volunteer directly with the Founder in his office to develop the organization on multiple levels. * In Washington, DC: We need help recruiting Host nonprofit organizations, looking for office space (probably in another nonprofit), doing fundraising proposals, spreading awareness, etc. We need help from someone who is interested in developing the college network, or willing to do outreach to civic or religious organizations to become sponsors. We need help with the "DC Friends of Atlas Corps" group that serves as a welcoming committee for Fellows coming to Washington. The Friends of Atlas Corps group will do everything from helping find housing for the Fellows, taking them out to dinner in their first weeks in the U.S., organizing social events, providing support, answering questions of Fellows before they arrive. We are seeking volunteers for this committee now.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have: - a college degree, - fluency in English and Spanish, - at least three years experience in the nonprofit/social sector. - They must have a deep commitment to social change and agree to return home after the one year fellowship to implement the skills learned during the year abroad.

Cost Include Description:
All expenses are paid in this year-long fellowship. There is a USD 500 deposit which is returned back to the fellows upon completion of the program.Each Fellow will receive: - assistance applying for a travel visa, - international travel to and from the host placement, - a modest living stipend, - medical insurance, - and a USD 2,500 end-of-service award.

Atlas Corps facilitates international fellowships for rising citizen sector leaders who volunteer overseas for at least one year.
