Description:
Children in Red Hill pre-schools have a severe lack of facilities & are taught from containers that have been brought into the community as donations. After having spent the morning at a school, volunteers will help out the community in different areas in the afternoon, rotating between the Build & Paint Schools project & the Educare Centre in Masiphumelele.
Highlights:
This program involves various aspects of community work & development. Volunteers will work with the exciting rural pre-school curriculum, community building projects, AIDS support work & more. Optional add-ons: Cape Town Area Tours - See the spectacular Table Mountain, Nelson Mandela's prison home, Robben Island, the Western Cape wine lands, & more! Johannesburg Day Tours - An escorted trip to Soweto will offer an insightful view into township life in South Africa. 2-3 Day Pilanesberg Park Safari Package - Safari drives, safe hiking trails, huge walk-in aviaries & optional flight over the park in a hot-air balloon.
