Duration of Program: 9-12 weeks
Dates: The project commences on the first Saturday of each month. Please note that the Khmer New Year runs from the 14th to the 19th of April and therefore you will not be able to volunteer during this week.
Description:
Working at the shelter set up by local people, you will be able to help educate these children through performing arts, language lessons, as well as teaching maths, art and sports. The project is in a rural location and the orphanage is very self sufficient so you can also help with maintaining the vegetable garden and animals on the farm. This rewarding experience will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the nations culture, and see first hand how Cambodia is moving forward.

Volunteer Work Activities Volunteers provide children with essential attention, support, care and the vital education they need. You'll be given the special opportunity to act as a role model to the children; encouraging them to develop an enthusiasm for education and helping them develop their skills. Volunteer activities include: * Arrange lesson plans * Teach English lessons * Teach drawing and painting * Help with health education * Take care of children during class * Cleaning the class rooms * Helping with maintenance of farming * Admin duties
