Description:
We are looking for volunteers with a degree or experience in marketing and fundraising. You will be based at our Language School in Ipanema where you will have full access to the internet and amenities there. You will work closely with our Director to help raise funds for our organization. As a Marketing and fundraiser you will have the following key responsibilities: * Promote Language School online
* Promote sales of our organic farming products
* Update current volunteer placements on various websites
* Source new (free) websites to advertise volunteer placements
* Grant writing including sourcing new companies
* Organizing fundraising events
* Contacting organizations for funds
* Fundraising for specific projects

Qualifications:
* Minimum age: 21 years
* Intermediate Portuguese skills
* 6 month - 2 year volunteer period
* Degree or experience working with children and teenagers
Cost in US$: No fees
Cost Include Description:
We charge no fees and offer volunteers: food, accommodation and airport escort.

Typical Volunteer: Enthusiastic, motivated, flexible, hard worker that loves to hang out with children and helps out where necessary. Patience is an important factor for working in Brazil.

Comunidade Rural Casa do Caminho's Mission Statement: Casa do Caminho is an orphanage situated in the middle of the Tingua rainforest, outside of Rio de Janeiro. Casa do Caminho aims to take the children away from aggression, drugs & criminality in Rio de Janeiro and surrounding suburbs. In the orphanage Casa do Caminho provides children with shelter, health care, education and a lot of freedom to play!
