Description:
As a volunteer or intern you can assist in the following core areas: microfinance, social awareness programmes (HIV/AIDS, health and nutrition, domestic violence etc.), child sponsorship and the remedial school. Moreover, there are additional volunteer or intern opportinities in fundraising/proposal writing, webdesign and marketing and communication. Prime Trust offers volunteers and interns the unique ability to have a truly significant role in organizational and program development. We recommend a minimum stay of three to four months, so you can experience Indian culture and gain relevant work experience to the fullest. We generally ask a minimum of a two months commitment, although we are happy to negotiate if your circumstances do not allow this length of time.

The only basic requirement for a volunteer or intern is that he or she speaks and writes English.

Cost Include Description:
Prime Trust is a non-profit organization, so it requires a guidance fee to cover the services involved in your stay such as project oversight and translation completed by the salaried staff. For the first month you will pay Rs. 5000; the 2nd and 3rd month the fee is Rs. 4000/month; the 4th and 5th month the fee is Rs. 3000/month; the 6th month onwards the fee is Rs. 2000/month. In addition, Prime Trust asks for a registration fee of Rs. 1000 upon arrival. Living accommodations are available above the office. Prime Trust offers five rooms that vary in size which are all very neat and clean. Two rooms have their own bathroom attached. When we have many volunteers and interns we will ask you to share a room. The prices vary from Rs. 250/simple single to Rs. 450/en suite twin per night.
