Description:
As a Social Worker, you will have the following key responsibilities: * Complete family visits in the communities and work together with our social worker. * Work closely with the children and teenagers to help them cope with their past and to improve their social behavior. * Help our social worker to do administrative paper work. As a Teacher, you will have the following key responsibilities: * Help teachers from the community school to lead their classes * Give school reinforcement for kids and teenagers in the community school or in their houses * Organize activities (sport, dance, art, etc) As a Psychologist, you will have the following key responsibilities: * Work closely with the children and teenagers to help them to cope with their past and to improve their social behavior * Family therapy
Highlights:
The volunteer program at Criança Brasil is completely free. Volunteers receive accommodation within the community of Morro do Paraiso, food, and training.
Qualifications:
* Intermediate Portuguese skills * Degree or experience in Teaching, Psychology and Social Service * Minimum of 6 months volunteer period * Experience working with children and teenagers * Experience working in developing countries
