Description: Semabalun is small village located on the valley of rinjani Mount. about 1150M, a 3 hour drive from mataram.

The people in sembalun working for ecotourism trekking in rinjani as Guide and porter, farmer, and hand weaving. The weather in sembalun village is fresh with verry nice view the hill around sembalun village and rinjani mount. If you trek to the hill around sembalun village, you can see nice view of the village.

The Rinjani Trek in Gunung Rinjani National Park in Lombok Indonesia was the winner of the Destination Stewardship Award, selected as a tourism destination that best demonstrates effective protection of its natural and cultural environment.

The Rinjani program is exemplary for its strong partnership among local community groups, tourism industry and national park, and has successfully withstood the recent deep dip in Indonesias tourism.

To increase the English for trekking guide in sembalun we have program free English course In Community Development center- sembalun. The farmer Commodity in sembalun is garlic, onion, strowbery, red rice, potatoes.

Highlights: The volunteer can do activities like : teaching English for the children in the village, teaching English for trekking guide in Community development center, teaching computer class in Community Development Center, farmering, weaving, and in holidays the volunteer can trek to the rinjani mount. or to the hill around rinjani mount.
