Description: This programme is a non-stop adventure experience throughout this diverse and spectacular country. Gain direct insight into the culture, the local people, the language and the natural wonders of Peru. Travelling around the country as part of a multi-national group, this experience-of-a-lifetime is the ideal platform for either:

a) a wide variety of volunteer work options, or
b) further travels through South America on completion of the program.

Peru offers incredible Inca ruins, breathtaking mountain scenery, tranquil beaches, wildlife, desert mysteries, colourful markets, fascinating history and vibrant culture. You will be learning Spanish as you travel and will have many opportunities to practice with the locals. You develop a good understanding of the language in a short time, giving you many more volunteer work options on completion of the programme.

This program is perfect for singles or couples seeking a safe, informative and adventurous way to travel through an exotic and unknown country as part of a group. Meeting new friends and travelling together while overcoming challenges and experiencing a new culture is a large part of Adventure Hearts concept.

On completion of the 8 week program, Adventure Heart will arrange (on request) a volunteer work position on your behalf. It is a great benefit to first have travelled through Peru to learn about the cultural do's and don'ts. While travelling around, one will learn about the various volunteer work opportunities, and then choose from a list of available options on completion.

Highlights: Peru is a country rich in history. From the mysteries of early civilizations, to the powerful empire of the Inca, to colonial Spanish rule - all have left their legacy. For many the highlight is the 5 day alternate Inca trail trek to Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas high in the Andes. You will literally walk in the footsteps of the Incas on your pilgrimage!
