Description:
The orphanage program cares for children who have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS and for children who have been abused by their parents. Volunteers will assist with the daily running of the orphanages, cleaning, bathing children, cooking etc. The evenings are spent playing with the children and helping them with their homework. The volunteer program locations are all over Kenya The costs you need to meet are: Your air ticket to and from the country, visa fees, vaccinations, local travel costs, accommodation costs outside project and insurance. You will also need a weekly budget of around 10 euro to cover your expenses like bottled water, personal effects, public transport, beverages, entertainment and transport costs to and from project site.
Highlights:
Volunteer Accommodation: While volunteering, volunteers will be accommodated in either a home stay or dormitory situation. Host families have all been carefully selected to provide you with a safe family environment and an insight into Kenyan life. Reception of Volunteers A member of staff will meet you on arrival and help transport you to your location.
