Cagliari
Durations of Program: 1-2 weeks and 2-4 weeks
Typical Duration of Program: 1-2 weeks

Description:
Poachers usually build hundreds of paths several kilometers long with hundreds or even thousands of bird-traps each one on hills, within a protected area included in the biggest Mediterranean forest of Europe near the town of Capoterra (Cagliari). Bird traps are usually set on trees or on the ground made with a little lace of nylon. Also sometimes it's possible to find other kinds of traps like very large networks or iron-laces for bush-pigs. Our work is to remove traps, destroy paths and bring attention of the public on this matter, that's killing thousands of animals every year, i.e. during the first field, just 5 years ago, we removed 20.000 traps in one week.
