CR, Dominica, Ecuador, Fiji, Iceland, Israel, Italy and Utah Community Service Trips
Description:
Each program differs slightly. We have volunteer programs in Costa Rica, Dominica, Ecuador, Fiji, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Peru and Utah as well as a photography and community service program in the UK and Iceland. In Costa Rica students run day camps for children and do small projects, i.e painting, etc. In Dominica they work with government day care centers and a small orphanage as well as doing small projects. In Ecuador they will volunteer with native Ecuadorian children in the schools up in the Andes Mountains and do small projects. In Fiji students live in the home of the village chief and go into local schools to assist teachers in the classroom. In Iceland we do and environmental project with the government and also volunteer at a camp for handicapped youth. In Israel students volunteer at the Emunah Center in Afula, working with "at risk" youth, doing activities and taking them on field trips. In Italy we assist with a therapeutic riding program in Rome. In Peru we volunteer at an orphanage. In Utah students volunteer at the largest animal sanctuary in the United States and then on our photography trip to the UK and Iceland we learn environmental portraiture as well as scenic photography and we also do some community service in both the UK and Iceland.
