We want our volunteers and volunteer programs to have a positive impact on the communities and NGOs we work with whilst giving our volunteers the very best experience of volunteering abroad. Program Details: Who can apply: Everyone is welcome to volunteer in Ecuador, this is students, professionals, retires, etc. Ages and Nationalities: Volunteers from all over the world are welcome from 17 years old (with a parental consent) to 60 years old or more. Qualifications: No prior experience or specific qualifications are required to join our community volunteer programs. You only need willingness to share your time and work with humanitarian organizations and community members and of course a spirit of adventure and a sense of humour. Program Length: ELEP's short-term (2 weeks) and long-term (6 months) volunteer program receives volunteers from a wide variety of professional backgrounds. Program Date: All year-round Volunteer projects: ELEP offers a wide range of volunteer program possibilities such as: working with children in an orphanage, street kid center or day care center, teaching a wide variety of subjects (included English) in one of our associated schools in rural or urban places, working with animals in a zoo or animal care center, working in a national park or reserve in general conservation issues, helping in a human right NGO, collaborating in a micro-enterprise, helping to build houses, schools or bridges, providing assistance to doctor and nurses in a rural or urban public hospital or medical NGO, etc. Locations: Our volunteer programs are running throughout the country both urban and rural places - included the spectacular Galapagos. Start / End Point: Quito Arrival Airport: Quito (airport code UIO) Working hours: They depend on the volunteer project. However volunteers are required to collaborate 4 - 5 daily hours as minimum from Monday through Friday. All other time is free.
