Description: Volunteering as a family gives you and your family members to learn from country to the other which offers you the opportunities to learn more about the different cultures it offers, develop new skills and language and showing your family members how to work together as a team.

A family volunteering holiday is a chance for everyone in the family to contribute and make a difference to communities around the world. A family volunteering holiday provides a wonderful educational experience for the children, an inspirational holiday for the family, and is a great challenge for the whole family.

Disaster Volunteers of Ghana develops short and long term volunteer programs in rural communities that encourage people to immerse themselves in a unique way of giving back. Family Volunteers help to empower the host communities in creating renewable, sustainable programs. While DIVOG's financial assistance benefits the community economically, it is actually the involvement and collaboration between the volunteers and community that is the greatest mutual benefit. DIVOG is an organization which focuses on creating self reliance among the rural communities.

Family members are invited to volunteer on our short term or long term family volunteer programs ranging from: working with local community members on building projects, teaching in local schools, working with local people on their farms, working with local hospitals and clinics, working on rural community development projects among others. The family will also have the opportunity to work with children's groups whiles volunteering on a major project.

Families who want to bundle this volunteer opportunity with excursions should please feel free to discuss this with the volunteer team for a tailored package.
