Teach English to Tribal Children

  India

Durations of Program: 5-8 weeks, 9-12 weeks, 3-6 months, 7-12 months, 1-2 years and over 2 years
Typical Duration of Program: 5-8 weeks
Dates: whole year

Description: Tribal children are the most disadvantaged lot in India. They live in serene surroundings in harmony with nature but lack good education and basic necessities of life. If you feel they need to have a better future, empower them with a good knowledge of English language. And they can survive in this fast pace of globalization. Because English is the language of privileged and powerful (in India).

Our NGO is running some schools for such children. But we do not get good English teachers so their education is suffering. Our schools are located in rural areas and parents are also not in a position to send their children to good schools because they can not afford to.

You can volunteer with us and become a change agent in their lives. The longer you stay the better it would be for the children but we do not force you into that, final decision will be yours.

Ours is a flexible program where you will have fun, play and lifetime learning opportunity. You also get a chance to learn their culture but most importantly you help preserve their traditions and culture. In addition to English teaching you can also teach them Drama, Music, Sports, Painting and other subjects .
