Description:
EntreMundos is a non-profit organization which supports and helps local communities and non-profits increase their capacity while respecting their principles and values. When EntreMundos was established in 2001, the goal was to assist local NGOs become self-sufficient. We began working with a handful local organizations and have since increased the number of partner organisations to over 150. EntreMundos works with civil society organizations, primarily in the Western Highlands of Guatemala, ranging from small community groups to mid-size NGOs addressing issues such as the environment, education and health, as well as the human rights of women and indigenous people. Along with our capacity building activities, EntreMundos also operates a volunteer placement programme, publishes a free-of-charge bi-monthly, bilingual magazine (in Spanish and English) about development and human rights issues in Guatemala, as well as providing a forum and information center for organizations, communities, volunteers and citizens concerned with development and human rights in Guatemala.
