Description:
We are a civil society organization based in Cameroon with a mandate in anti-corruption, good governance, women empowerment, human rights and sustainable development. We lack the necessary expertise in the areas of fund raising, and other management skills to forge ahead with our exacting but ambitious and prestigious programme of activities. We are in search of volunteers, above 40 years with the relevant skills to come and stabilize our organization with a functional system: to develop a 2009-2011 strategic plan for the organization, a plan of action, and a fund raising and resource base for self reliance and organizational sustainability. The job of this volunteer is that of development: to assist in the organizational and institutional growth of the organization. GNGG is a reputed organization with Observer Status with the African Commission in Banjul The Gambia and Consultative Status with La Francophonie, in France.We are also affiliated with over 30 national and international organizations.
Highlights:
The volunteer will have the privilege to work in the most beautiful city in coastal Cameroon just at the banks of the Atlantic ocean, the Botanic garden and the Mount Cameroon. He/she will be amazed by the cream of wonderful people who are ready to do multi-tasks in a demanding environment.
Qualifications:
No particular qualifications but volunteer should have project management skills (design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation etc ) as well as sales and marketing skills.

Experience Required: yes
Experience in NGO management, fund raising skills, marketing, familiarity with the donor world and good communication skills.
Typical Volunteer: A typical volunteer works on his or her own directly under the Secretary General on assigned tasks. He/She provides management with continuous administrative daily support, follows up project schedules, designs and drafts proposals for funding, searches possible donors and does all other jobs as directed by the Secretary General.
