Description:
We are looking for volunteers with experience cooking. We need someone to help with the weekend shifts and occasional shifts during the week if the Brazilian cook is not available. Four meals a day are served for children, staff, and volunteers in the main kitchen. Cooking is done predominantly on a wood stove.

Qualifications:
* Intermediate Portuguese skills
* Willingness to work for 6 months - 2 years volunteer period
* Previous experience cooking for large groups
* Experience in working with children and teenagers
* Minimum age: 21 years

We charge no fees and offer volunteers: food, accommodation and airport escort.

Casa do Caminho aims to take the children away from aggression, drugs & criminality in Rio de Janeiro and surrounding suburbs. In the orphanage Casa do Caminho provides children with shelter, health care, education and a lot of freedom to play!
