Description: As a part of the APS Kendra activities, APS Kendra opens up opportunities for professional women and men to serve as APS Kendra volunteers and contribute to the society in upbringing the health status of a woman and her baby before, during and after childbirth. The APS Kendra recruits and offers volunteer opportunities mainly to nursing profession. However, it can also recruit volunteer from other disciplines such as management, finance, marketing, website designing and other health professionals depending on the needs of the APS Kendra but such type of volunteer opportunities are very limited in number. Please note that an applicant who applied for volunteer does not guarantee an APS Kendra Volunteer assignment.

Qualifications: 1. Registered Nurse or Midwives
2. Student Nurse or Midwives
3. Registered Community and/or Public Health Nurse
4. Others having college or university working in the field of Reproductive Health and Safe Motherhood

Minimum Education: Bachelors

Experience Required: no

Typical Volunteer: Registered Nurse and Midwives to provide health services to women and children

Age Range: 20 to 75

This Program is open to American, Asian, Australian, Canadian, European, Kiwi, South African and Worldwide Participants.

Participants Travel to Nepal Independently

Typically Participants Work in Groups of 5-7
