Description:
With only a small staff and a few volunteers, a community outreach effort began in 2001 in order to educate the community on the realities of HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis. Since many of the community members have become victims of these deadly diseases, they have been working hard to teach methods of prevention. The project also spends time assisting in the local hospital taking care of patients. Volunteers are needed to help with community education projects raising awareness about HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and how to prevent them. Volunteers are also able to work at the local public hospital where they can assist with patients and help with administrative duties.
