Even though Argentina is known as a wealthy country compared to other Latin American countries, the economic crisis of 2001 left its marks on the people and society. Poverty is still a challenge for a big part of the population. Luckily there are many people who try to make a difference and in one of their projects you can give a hand. Be aware that your help will not always improve the situation of the people directly, but think of it as a small step in the right direction and a cultural exchange of which both parties learn a lot! You have to be available for at least a month. The reason is that some projects are not really assisted when volunteers come and go all the time, they need some stability. After the Spanish course you will be able to speak with locals and help them wherever you can. We will guide you during your period and you will have a coordinator at the project as well.

Learn Spanish and Dance Tango

Tango is much more than only knowing the steps, also you have to know how to communicate, feel the passion and use it, the special Tango language (Lunfardo) and of course everything about how Tango once began. You will experience a different kind of way to live your life! During this period you will meet a lot of Tango fanatics, also because you will be staying in a housing that has everything to do with Tango! With this program you will discover the fascinating world that is called Tango.

Learn Spanish and work as a "Gaucho"

The cowboys of Argentina live as a gaucho in the ¨wild west¨ of Argentina. Right now you can also experience the life of a cowboy. We will prepare you with a four - week course of Spanish for the volunteer period at a Gaucho-farm (Estancia). During this course you will learn the language, habits and traditions. You can choose for an Estancia that is close to Buenos Aires or very far away from the enormous city. After the Spanish course you will be ready to go and enjoy life at the fullest!

There are a lot of activities you can do, of course, this depends on your interests. For example, you can work with the horses and veal, receive tourists, cook, help with service and maintenance and take care of the ranch. You will be able to sleep, eat, enjoy long rides on horseback riding, the swimming pool (if there is one) and of course the silence.

Experience Language School's Mission Statement: Experience Argentina has a completely different approach to most language schools in Buenos Aires. Classes will not be four hours of trying to cramp in as much grammar as possible, because we want to assure you that after a language course with Experience Argentina you will be able to communicate with locals. Therefore, our program focuses on learning Spanish by playing games, watching movies, listening to Spanish music/lyrics and going outside with your teacher to learn Spanish in practical situations.
