Spanish Language and Community development Internship in Central America

Description:
Gain hands on work experience and prepare yourself for a job in the field with this 6 month GVI Traineeship program. You will spend the first three months learning Spanish and working on GVI's community development projects in Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. This is a fun and very effective way to Learn Spanish, completely immersing yourself in the language and culture. During this time you will complete 200 hours of one-on-one Spanish classes, teach in the local communities, and shadow GVI field staff to assist with the running of the project. At the end of the first three months, you will either continue working in Guatemala or move to Honduras or Nicaragua. At the end of the 6 months training, qualifying candidates will be given the opportunity to work for GVI or selected partner organizations in their chosen country or in other countries around the world where GVI operate. GVI has worked closely with many higher education facilities to link this Trainee program with academic qualifications and or a Year in Industry as part of a higher education qualification. Please contact us for more information. During your traineeship you will live with local host families in one of the base towns. You will have a private room and shared bathrooms with warm to hot showers. All meals are provided (not on Sundays in Guatemala), with the local family, or in the communities where we spend our days working.
